These cartridges:
• They are suitable for use on large solitary animals at long distances and where we want the highest possible concentration
• They achieve a high initial velocity of 435m/s
A combination of a 12/0-9.1mm bullet is used (the largest bullet diameter that can fit in a cal12 case without modification) which means 25% more kinetic energy than the next 11/0-8.4mm, the densest concentration than the rest of the buffered cartridges, and of course lower kick compared to the 10-bullet, with which it otherwise shares common characteristics.
